THE NO SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Clinton Avenue Church's No School Program is a unique, multi-faceted program designed to support
elementary school-aged children (4-12) in our local community during school holidays. In collaboration with our local YMCA chapter we provide free, structured, and staffed activities on days when schools are closed. The program is designed to address a critical gap for working parents who need a safe, enriching space for their children. This program combines cultural awareness, life skills development, and community engagement, fostering a sense of belonging and personal growth in a welcoming environment.
The No School Program consists of three core components: Clinton Culture Kids, Life Skills Workshops, and Community Heroes, each tailored to support age-appropriate learning and exploration. Younger children (ages 4-7) will engage in hands-on, interactive activities that introduce them to new cultures and basic life skills. Older children (ages 8-12) will participate in more advanced projects, including cultural discussions, community-building activities, and practical life skills that promote leadership and responsibility. Grouping children by age ensures each participant receives a meaningful and customized experience suited to their developmental stage.
